Artist & Organiser Agreement
Extra terms for people who release music or list events with Echo for Artists.
Last updated 2 October 2026
This agreement applies in addition to our Terms of Use when you use Echo for Artists to upload music or list events.
For artists
Your rights
You keep ownership of your music. When you upload a release, you confirm that you own or control all rights needed to release it on Echo, including rights to any samples, lyrics and performances, and that releasing it won’t breach anyone else’s rights or any agreement you’ve signed.
Licence to Echo
You grant Echo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, stream and display your release, artwork and profile in the app and on our website, and to use them to promote Echo. You can remove a release at any time, and the licence ends once it’s removed, except for copies people already used in Sessions.
Review
Every release is reviewed by the Echo team. We may decline a release, ask for changes, or remove it later if it breaks our guidelines or we receive a valid rights complaint.
Accuracy
You must give accurate titles, credits and featured artists, and mark explicit content.
For organisers
- Events you list must be real and open to the public, with accurate details.
- You’re responsible for the event itself, ticketing, refunds, safety and following the law.
- Only tag artists who are confirmed to perform.
- Keep your listing up to date, and mark it cancelled if it won’t go ahead.
Verification
Verification badges are given at Echo’s discretion to confirm a profile belongs to who it says. We may remove a badge if a profile changes hands or breaks our rules.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover Echo for losses caused by your content or events breaching someone else’s rights or the law.
