Copyright Policy

How to report content that infringes your copyright, and what happens next.

Last updated 2 October 2026

Echo respects the rights of artists and rights holders. Every release is reviewed before it goes live, but if you believe something on Echo infringes your copyright, tell us and we’ll act quickly.

Sending a copyright notice

Use the Contact page with the topic Copyright, and include:

  • your name, and the name of the rights holder if you act on their behalf;
  • a description of the work you own;
  • links to the content on Echo you believe infringes it;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate;
  • your contact details.

What we do

We review every notice. Where it’s valid, we remove or disable the content and let the uploader know. Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing content will be suspended.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the rights to it, contact us with an explanation and any supporting evidence. We may restore the content if appropriate.
